You are at War!
Series: Who Are You?
Life is really hard sometimes. Life can be almost unbearable. Sometimes this is a result of our own actions. The consequences of bad decisions. But sometimes it seems that even when we are doing our best life is still hard. This is because we are at war. A war that is unseen. A war that Christ as made us ready for. Paul finishes his letter the the Ephesians by giving them instructions on how to be ready to fight against our enemy. Cody unpacks this and finishes The Who are You? series by walking through Eph 6:10-24.

    You are a Servant
    Series: Who Are You?
A topic that is often hard for us to talk about is the issue of slavery. Yet the Bible addresses it often. In this section of Eph 6 Paul directly addresses slaves and masters. Daniel walks us through verses 5-9 and shows us that Paul does not condone slavery but gives us guidelines on how to live as servants. Servants of God and the people around us.

    You are Family
    Series: Who Are You?
Our earthly relationships are important. They provide comfort, support, strength, and protection. But these relationships can sometimes fade and disappear. We strongly believe that God did not create us to be alone. We are created in His image and therefore with a longing to be in relationship with others. To be in a family. In Eph 6:1-4 Paul shows us how we are to live as children and parents in a family but not just in a biological family but as a church family.

    The Substitutes Path
**Please excuse the audio change.** The King of the Universe stands before a Roman governor accused of crimes He did not commit. The perfect, innocent Son of Man humbly and willingly submits to the will of His Father, and the torment, torture, and mocking of sinful man. Jesus who did not deserve prison, did not deserve torture, did not deserve death took out place. The place of murders, rioter, criminals like Barabbas. Near the end of the Path to the Cross, Cody takes us through Mark 15:1-20.

Advent: Joy
Series: Advent:2016
During the Christmas season many of us find our selves seek happiness in things. Whether its through receiving gifts, giving  gifts, spending time with family, or seeking the latest and greatest toys or gadgets. We seek happiness because happiness is so often times fleeting. Our circumstances play a heavy roll in our "feeling" happy. In this second week of advent Daniel looks at Isaiah 9 where we see Joy is what we should be seeking because joy is lasting, and that lasting Joy is only found in the coming of the God man, Jesus Christ.

    Advent: Hope
    Series: Advent:2016
The pain, suffering, cruelty, and constant fluctuating nature of our world can sometimes cause us to despair. We can look around and be fearful for our future, or the future of our loved ones. Israel was in a similar place when Isaiah wrote them almost 2700 years ago. But in spite of the coming judgement and struggles, God promised hope from the most unlikely place. Cody kicks off our advent series by walking us through Isaiah 11.
